Terms & Conditions for MoneyBack Program
These Terms and Conditions form the agreement between you on one part and AS Watson MoneyBack (HK) Limited (“MBHK”) on behalf of itself and the MoneyBack Companies (together referred to as “we” or “us”), on the other part. From time to time we will have Our Partners to join the Program offering you more rewards and targeted offers.
1. About MoneyBack Program
1.1. MoneyBack Program is a customer loyalty program operated by AS Watson Group.
1.2. These Terms and Conditions are last updated on the Effective Date.
2. Definitions
Under these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following words and expressions shall have the following meanings:
2.1. “Cash Voucher” means cash voucher or discount to be redeemed by you using your Reward Points, including any cash voucher in electronic format.
2.2. “Effective Date” means 29 July 2021.
2.3. “Kiosks” means the member privilege kiosks located in the Retail Outlets for facilitating the Program.
2.4. “Member” means a member of the Program.
2.5. “MoneyBack App” means the mobile application of the Program.
2.6. “MoneyBack Card” refers to the physical membership card.
2.7. “MoneyBack Membership QR Code” is a virtual membership QR code issued through the MoneyBack App to enjoy various benefits under this program.
2.8. “MoneyBack Companies” collectively means:

2.9. “MoneyBack Customer Hotline” the hotline number is available on the Program’s Website or MoneyBack App.
2.10.“Net Purchase Amount” means the net amount paid for a purchase transaction at any Retail Outlets, excluding the value of any Cash Voucher, cash coupon or other discount used in the transaction.
2.11. “Our Stores” include PARKnSHOP, TASTE, TASTE x FRESH (TASTE cashiers only), FUSION, food le parc, GOURMET, GREAT FOOD HALL, PNS eShop, Watsons, Fortress, Watsons Wine and other store formats AS Watson Group may operate from time to time (whether online or offline).
2.12. “Partners” means merchants other than us of Retail Goods or Services, who join the Program offering rewards, discounts, benefits and targeted offers to our Members.
2.13. “Program” means the MoneyBack Program as described in paragraph 1.1.
2.14. “Program's Website” www.moneyback.com.hk.
2.15. “Redemption Voucher” means voucher to be redeemed by you by using your Reward Points for redeeming specified products.
2.16. “Retail Goods or Services” means sales of goods or provision of services in relation to any of the following (whether through physical or online channels): (a) food, water & beverages, restaurants, catering, groceries, household products, general merchandise, health & beauty, lifestyle, pharmaceuticals, fragrance & cosmetics, baby products, wine and liquor, cigarettes and cigars, stationery, books and paper products, confectionary, toys, clothing, shoes, textiles, fashion accessories, bags & luggage, jewellery, watches, furniture, plants and accessories, office supplies, sports & leisure equipment, phones & mobile devices, electronics & electrical appliances, computer software and games, music, pet products, fuel, motor vehicle services and educational products and services; (b) financial, investment, insurance, banking and credit cards; (c) transportation, travel and accommodation; (d) sports, leisure, recreation and entertainment; (e) telecommunications products and services; (f) e-commerce (including trading and payment platforms and online auctions); and/or any anxillary or supplemental products and services..
2.17. “Retail Outlets” means Our Stores and Our Partners’ retail outlets in Hong Kong and Macau.
2.18. “Reward Points” means the standard benefit under the Program to be awarded to you when you make purchases at the Retail Outlets.
3. About your membership
3.1. The Program is open to individuals aged 18 or above. If you are under 18 years and wish to become a Member, you will need your parent's or legal guardian's consent.
3.2. To join the Program, you need to input the required information through the MoneyBack App. This includes providing a correct, valid, personally owned mobile phone number from Hong Kong, Mainland China, or Macau to receive an SMS verification code. After entering the SMS verification code and successfully registering, you will be issued a membership number and an MoneyBack membership QR code.
3.3. The registered mobile phone number must be correct, valid, and owned by the individual registering the account. Registration with virtual phone numbers is not accepted. Each member can only register one account with a single mobile phone number. Any duplicate phone number registrations or individuals having multiple accounts will not be accepted. We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate the membership of such individuals and cancel all accumulated points and eligibility for redeeming any rewards, without prior notice.
3.4. If we discover that any member has registered or used the program account with a mobile phone number not owned by themselves, we reserve the right to temporarily suspend or terminate the membership of that member. In such cases, any unused points and unclaimed rewards may be cancelled without further notice.
3.5. We may decline your application under applicable circumstances as may be determined by us in our sole discretion.
3.6. Loss of record / Reward Points under MoneyBack account
a) If your MoneyBack account malfunctions due to no fault of yours, you may recover your Reward Points by contacting MoneyBack Customer Hotline.
b) You should notify us immediately by calling the MoneyBack Customer Hotline if your MoneyBack account has been used by others. We are not responsible for any loss (including but not limited to Reward Points, eVouchers, eStamps, and eCoupons) suffered by you in relation to loss of your mobile device.
c) Where applicable, in determining the available balance of Reward Points to be recovered from the loss of your mobile device, the records held by us shall be conclusive evidence of the available balance of Reward Points.
d) We reserve the right not to re-issue your Reward Points to you in case of lost / stolen mobile device or other non-recoverable MoneyBack account.
3.7. If you wish to cancel your MoneyBack membership, you need to contact MoneyBack Customer Hotline. Your Reward Points will be forfeited upon cancellation.
4. Earning Reward Points
4.1. Every time you make a purchase at designated Retail Outlets by presenting QR Code in your MoneyBack App, bound Octopus Card, providing your MoneyBack number or phone number (subject to the calculation mentioned in clause 4.4 and other restrictions mentioned in these Terms and Conditions or as determined by us from time to time) Reward Points will be awarded for the Net Purchase Amount at the rate of:
At Our Stores in Hong Kong: 1 Reward Point for every HK$5.00 spent (excluding Watson’s Wine), except Fortress, SUPREME, 3HK for which Reward Points will be awarded at the rate of 1 Reward Point for every HK$10.00 spent.
At Our Stores in Macau: 1 Reward Point for every MOP10.00 spent (excluding Watson’s Wine), except for PARKnSHOP and TASTE, for which Reward Points will be awarded at the rate of 1 Reward Point for every MOP5.00 spent.
At our designated Partners’ Retail Outlets in Hong Kong: Reward Points will be awarded by our designated Partners for eligible transactions made by you in accordance with the offerings by these Partners (please refer to www.moneyback.com and/or MoneyBack App for the prevailing offers).
4.2. Unless otherwise specified under particular transaction(s), Reward Points will be awarded and updated within five (5) days from the delivery date of the product(s) purchased by you. You may check your balance of your Reward Points by logging on to the MoneyBack App or the Program’s Website, by calling the MoneyBack Customer Hotline. If you would like to print out your past transaction records (available up to the last three (3) months), please call the MoneyBack Customer Hotline. A fee will be charged for printing your Reward Point transaction records. Payment for each month’s record is HK$10 or a deduction of 500 Reward Points from your membership account. For example, to print out the last 2 months’ Reward Point transaction records, the fee would be HK$20 or a deduction of 1,000 Reward Points from your membership account.
4.3. If Cash Vouchers, or other cash coupons and discounts, are used during the purchase, Reward Points will be calculated based on the Net Purchase Amount.
4.4. Reward Points will not be awarded in decimals. For example, if the Net Purchase Amount is $53.9, ten (10) Reward Points will be issued, based on the Net Purchase Amount of $50.
4.5. If you have more than one MoneyBack account (e.g. you have a MoneyBack App member account and you are also an Fortress iClub member), you may link your accounts together under one master account. Application for merging of accounts is available on the MoneyBack App. The merging of these accounts is irreversible. After the linking of your accounts, all your Reward Points under your separate accounts will be merged together under your master account.
4.6. Reward Points are valid for two (2) years from the date of issue, after which they automatically expire.
4.7. From time to time Reward Points may not be issued for the purchase of certain commodities or services, or when you are entitled to some other benefits or when you are also a member of other programs. Additionally, certain offers, benefits or services may not be available in some Retail Outlets. Notices of such restrictions will be posted on the Program’s Website, on the MoneyBack App and/or in the Retail Outlets for your information.
4.8. It is necessary for you to present QR Code in your MoneyBack App at the point of use (including the earning of Reward Points, Reward Points redemption, conversion, etc.).
4.9. If you are entitled to a refund in relation to any goods or services purchased, the Reward Points awarded for that purchase will be deducted from and adjusted in your MoneyBack account when the refund is made.
4.10. Benefits, including Reward Points issued during one-off promotion (e.g. during Our Partners’ launch) will be governed by the rules of the specific promotion and may expire after the end of that promotion.
4.11. We have the right to (a) adjust, withdraw or cancel any rewards or benefits including Reward Points awarded or to be awarded to you; (b) suspend or stop providing any rewards, benefits or service at any Retail Outlet at any time; and (c) terminate your membership; at any time at our sole discretion without prior notice to you.
4.12. The MoneyBack Card has been officially discontinued as of March 2023, and no longer usable starting from March 1st 2023. After the discontinuation of the MoneyBack Card, existing members only need to merge their membership card into the MoneyBack App to continue using the points stored on the card.
5. Redeeming Reward Points
5.1. Upon accumulating certain Reward Points awarded to you by purchasing at the Retail Outlets, you may present the QR code in your MoneyBack App to use your Reward Points to get cash discounts on your purchases at Our Stores. Print out, scanned copy, screen capture or photocopy will not be accepted. The redeeming rate is 50 Reward Points to HK$1.00 cash discount when making a purchase. Each redemption needs to be a multiple of HK$1.00 for cash discount, respectively. You may redeem at Our Stores:
PARKnSHOP: up to a maximum of $1,000 cash discount every day;
Watsons: up to a maximum of $1,000 cash discount every day; or
Fortress: up to a maximum of $1,000 cash discount every day.
5.2. Cash Voucher may be used to exchange for an equivalent amount of goods or services at the applicable Retail Outlet on or before the expiry date stated on the Cash Voucher. The Cash Voucher shall be invalid after the expiry date.
5.3. Redemption Voucher may be used to redeem specified products at the applicable Retail Outlets on or before the expiry date stated on the Redemption Voucher. The Redemption Voucher shall be invalid after the expiry date.
5.4. Cash Voucher and Redemption Voucher will not be accepted for transactions at Fortress e-store, PARKnSHOP e-store (includes orders by phone, fax and online), Watsons e-store or as deposit for purchases (including hire purchases).
5.5. Cash Voucher and Redemption Voucher are not exchangeable for cash or other coupons. No change will be given either in cash or in other form when using the Cash Voucher in your purchase.
5.6. Cash Voucher and Redemption Voucher are invalid and not replaceable if lost, defaced or damaged.
5.7. We reserve the right of final decision in case of any dispute arising from any Cash Voucher or Redemption Voucher.
5.8. The use of Cash Voucher and Redemption Voucher on your purchases at Our Stores and/or our designated Partners at specified redemption rate (please refer to www.moneyback.com and/or MoneyBack Mobile App for the prevailing offers) may be subject to further restrictions imposed by us or Our Partners from time to time.
5.9. If you are entitled to a refund in relation to any goods or services purchased by using a Cash Voucher (whether in partial or full settlement for the purchase) or via cash discount converted by applying Reward Points, or, if your return of the redeemed product under a Redemption Voucher is accepted by us, relevant adjustments will be made to the Reward Points in your MoneyBack account (giving credit to the redeemed Rewards Points and deducting the Rewards Points earned for that purchase) when the refund or return of product is made.
5.10. Reward Points cannot be stolen, purchased, on-sold, transferred, redeemed or exchanged for cash. If we have reasonable suspicion that any of your Reward Points are stolen, purchased, transferred, redeemed, or exchanged for cash or that you are stealing, selling, transferring or exchanging your Reward Points for cash, we reserve the right to temporarily suspend or terminate yours and other related members’ membership. In such cases, any unused points and unclaimed rewards may be cancelled or forfeited or voided for no value, without further notice.
6. Your targeted offers
6.1. The information you provide to us when you register as a Member will help us to make carefully selected MoneyBack offers that we believe will be of interest and value to you. The more you purchase at the Retail Outlets, the more benefits you will receive.
6.2. With your consent or indication of no objection, you will receive various MoneyBack offers from time to time. Some of these are unique offers for you and some can be shared with your friends who are also Members, subject to the terms and conditions of each individual offer.
7. Transfer of Reward Points to/from another Member (available for MoneyBack App only)
7.1. You may transfer your Reward Points to another Member by giving your express authorization to us. Once your instruction is confirmed, the transfer is irreversible.
7.2. You may also request for Reward Points to be transferred to your MoneyBack account from another Member, subject to the criteria and procedures required by us from time to time. Once the Reward Points are transferred to your account, the transfer is irreversible.
7.3. The minimum and maximum Reward Points that can be transferred to/from another Member per day are 500 and 25,000 respectively, each time in multiples of 50 Reward Points.
7.4. For the avoidance of doubt, your Reward Points have no redeemable or exchangeable cash value and are personal to you. Accordingly, you are not allowed to transfer any Reward Points to another Member in exchange or sell such Reward Points for cash or any other advantage. If in doubt, you agree that we have the right not to process your transfer request, and to temporarily suspend or terminate your membership. In such cases, any unused points and unclaimed rewards may be cancelled or forfeited or voided for no value, without any further notice.
8. Donation to charity
8.1. You may make donations to designated charitable organizations by using any amount of your Reward Points. The conversion rate is 50 Reward Points for every HK$1 donation.
9. Others
9.1. In the event that your MoneyBack account is not used or your account has no activity for a period of three (3) years, we will, for your own and our protection, deem your account to be no longer in use. We will deactivate your account and all your accumulated Reward Points will be forfeited. Your personal information in our record will also be deleted. You may need to reapply for a new membership if you wish to rejoin the Program.
9.2. As the Program operates through systems which rely on communication networks, electricity networks etc., which may be beyond our control, we cannot always ensure that the Program operates at all times. However we will make all reasonable efforts to ensure our system supports the operations in connection with the Program.
9.3. To ensure the security of your account, you should not share your MoneyBack membership QR code with others for their use.
9.4. We may provide you with new services associated with your membership under the Program from time to time, and these new services will be governed by these Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions of the respective services.
9.5. If we are going to terminate the Program, we shall give you at least three (3) months’ notice by advertising in major newspapers, as well as on the Program’s Website and on the MoneyBack App.
9.6. If you breach or we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached these Terms and Conditions, we may suspend or terminate your MoneyBack membership and seek to recover any damages that your breach may have caused to us or Our Partners.
9.7. You must not tamper with the data recorded in your MoneyBack account in any way, which may be a criminal offence. We will not honour transactions and any benefits, including Reward Points, if your MoneyBack account has been tampered with.
9.8. We have the right to claim and recover reasonable costs, expenses, losses and damages suffered or incurred by us or Our Partners as a result of your altering or interfering, or allowing a third party to alter or interfere, with the data in your MoneyBack account.
9.9. We may make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice to you. A copy of the latest version of these Terms and Conditions will be available on the Program’s Website and on the MoneyBack App.
9.10. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
9.11. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
